Hello all!
I scanned a number of documents into image files recently, including a new
map
, plans of
Section 37
&
Section 52
, interment records for (some) surnames beginning with O, and also a number of newspaper obituary clippings from 1916 (as the great influenza devestated Philadelphia).
I could use help transcribing them; if you would like to volunteer to transcribe a page, send me an

and I will send you a link to the scans. Once I can get them transcribed I will post the names into the
database
and the scans into the new
Mount Moriah Cemetery Images
collection.
The
Mount Moriah Cemetery Images
system is a replacement for the older system; it is still being updated and there are still some bugs in it (users have to be updated, etc.), but I hope you find it useful.
I am looking for more photos & scans of all things related to the cemetery. If you have something you would like to contribute,

I added
Section 1
of the
Veterans Administration Plot
to the image gallery.
This album contains (where available) an image of the soldiers' stone, the section/plot/row of the burial, the soldiers' name, death date and type of service.
Section 1:

There are over 2,000 burials in this section. In general, the area is kept clean & tidy (it is maintained by Beverly National Cemetery of Beverly, New Jersey), but many of the stones have not been replaced in a very long time and in some cases are illegible.
I wonder, does the Federal government have an obligation to keep the stones in legible shape? If they do, is there any particular reason why this cemetery would not be maintained? Just thinking out loud.
I will continue working on the remaining sections and hope to have them posted as soon as possible.

My relative, David Cherry Fulton, is buried in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery. He died on January 21, 1923. I am wanting to find out if there are any other relatives buried there.
Can anyone help me?
