I have quite a few relatives that are resting in Mt. Moriah and have spent many hours searching for the graves but have never found them. I have been looking every Saturday for over a year now but it's sad to say my hope is wearing thin. The odds seem to be against me. Between the vandals & the overgrowth of the poorly maintained grounds I may never find my ancestors. If you have been there you can relate to the disgust, anger & sorrow that I feel. There are thousands of people that did wonderful things for us as Americans & cherished loved ones that are shown no respect. It saddens me to think that people care this little about family & their fellow man. I have tried on numerous occasions to get a hold of someone in the grounds office but I don't think anyone even works there anymore because I never get an answer. I doubt I'll ever find my great grand parents plot. I have the deed that was given to me by my grandmother in hopes that I could find it but the section markers if you find one are so worn that you can't tell where you are anyway. My grand mother hasn't seen her parents plot in sometime now and I would like to find it for her and take her there before she passes on. My great grand parents lived during The Depression so they had very low income and to my grand mothers knowledge they had no headstone like you see now. It was hand carved from a white marble stone in the shape of a lamb by my great uncle. It probably has come into the hands of some vandals or buried in the overgrowth that runs wild there. If anyone could help me and my grandmother in anyway (map of the grounds or any info.) please contact me.
