My spouse has a deed from MM Cemetery dated June 19, 1857. It is Deed #1003, Lot 45, Section 9. The holder of the deed was one of her ancestors named Richard Alton. It was for $12.00 and was for 80 square feet of burial space.
Since I am doing family history, can anyone help me to 1. Was anyone ever buried in this plot, 2. If so, who. 3. Where is that plot located. 4. Given the condition of the grounds, how does one find section 9 and gain access. Additionally, who owns the cemetery and why havent they maintained the property??
