Marijuana plants found in Yeadon cemetery
Yeadon Borough police yesterday removed several marijuana plants worth hundreds of thousands of dollars from Mount Moriah Cemetery on Cobbs Creek Parkway, the border between the borough and West Philadelphia.
Police said no arrests had been made. The Philadelphia Police Narcotics Division had notified Yeadon authorities that several plants were growing in their portion of the cemetery. Police said the plants were mature and, if processed, had a street value of about $200,000.
